Looks like it is finally happening. Larry has called several times today and they have turned in all their bags for inspection, been moved to the airfield and are waiting for a C5 (huge military plane) to move them into Kuwait from Ft. Benning, GA. They are actually to depart at 11:00 PM EST. He thinks that they will be 24-30 hours.
It has been a long week for him sitting with nothing to do, but he has made the best of it. There was a gym for regular workouts, he and some others have taken in a movie, had a few meals out and just filled their time the best they could. He promises to start sending photos as soon as he can.
I coached a real estate class in Chicago on Wednesday and was tempted to scoot on down to Ft. Benning but we would have had 12 hours together at best and it was only $700 (yikes) to take that detour so we decided against it :)
As soon as I have hear that he is in Kuwait safely I'll quickly update you all. Happy Mother's Day to all you awesome mother's. Make it a special day :)
